2015 Schleich Ardennes Foal

Heres a review of the 2015 Schleich Ardennes Foal!

Mold: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This mold is actually really cute! She is in a frolicking pose and the mold is quite correct in the conformation. The legs are a little thick, but that’s just nitpicking a bit. Her tail is swishing, she has slight feathering and flicked ears. A very nice wee foal with lots of details!

Colour: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Her colour is a light bay with pangare on the muzzle, legs and belly. Her tail is light at the top, which is quite a nice detail, and she has a really gorgeous elongated star, with hairing detail as well!

Photography Potential: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve given her five stars for photography potential, because she could be splashing in water, gambolling in a field, or playing with another foal! I can’t wait to take her out on a shoot soon!

Schleich Review: Mini Shetty Mare

Here’s a review on the 2015 Mini Shetty Mare

Mold: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This mold is so cute and chubby! She has her mane and tail tied with little bright pink bands which adds to the aww factor. I think it would also be a really nice horse to customise, as she’d suit heaps of coat colours and you could choose different colours for the bands.

Colour:⭐️⭐️⭐️ The colour is a nice flaxen chestnut, with a bit of a crooked blaze and no other white markings. It’s a quite flat colour, and some more shading on the flanks/belly would be pretty nice. She suits it though, and she looks really nice when paired with her chestnut foal.

Photography Potential: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve given her a bit of a low score for Photography Potential, as I don’t think she’d look that great in a natural setting, unless it was in a paddock. She looks really good in an arena, and also if you had a Schleich stable she would be really adorable in barn/stable photos.

Mane and tail bands

Her little blaze and forelock braids!

Also, if you guys could please comment some ideas for tack and barn things to make, that would be super helpful! 😀😀😀

Schleich 2015 Icelandic Mare Review

Again, like the pinto stallion I reviewed earlier, I LOVE this horse!

Mold: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The mold is nicely proportioned, with good stocky legs and a beautiful thick mane that falls over one eye. She’s in an eyecatching position, even though she’s just standing, she has this spunky look to her!

Colour:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Her colour is a realistic subtle palomino, not over the top or orange like some other horses. It does look quite orangey in the photo, but in person it’s very nice. It suits the mould well, and it makes her look really pretty and feminine.  A sock or blaze would look quite nice, but she’s still a really nice.

Photography Potential: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ She is great for photography, because she can be loads of breeds, like an Highland pony, Welsh or ant of those small hairy ponies! She suits lots of scenes, and stands square so she doesn’t fall over, which is good if you put her in a precarious place!

Name suggestions would be appreciated!!😀

Schleich 2015 Pinto Stallion Review

Mold: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I seriously love this horse, and if you haven’t noticed already, he’s appeared in SO many of my photos! 😉 It looks so spirited and has heaps of angles for photography, but we’ll get to that in a second. The legs are quick thick, but at least he doesn’t fall over all the time.

Colour: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I like the colour, but I’m not in love with it. It’s still eye catching, especially with his gorgeous blue eyes! I do like his bald face though!

Photography Potential: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is one of the best horses for photography! He could easily be a wild mustang, a ranch horse, a show jumper or a frisky stallion in the pasture! He suits loads of scenes, like a forest, beach or stream😀

Note: Breyer Reviews will be up soon, but I am waiting for some new Breyers, so when they arrive, I’ll do a review. 🙂 Anyone want to guess who they are? Hint: They were retired in 2014, there are two in a set, and the colour is unusual. Whoever gets it right gets to choose my next schleich review horse from my shelf!

Schleich Fjord Review

Kriger (Norwegian for warrior)

Mold: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I LOVE this mould! It looks so strong and proud, with lots of character. I especially love the mane, it’s really detailed.

Colour: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The colour on this guy is brunblakk, the most common Fjord colour. The best part of him is his dorsal stripe because it’s eye catching and a bit different. 🙂

Photography  Potential: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This guy is one of the most photogenic horses I own! I’ve put him in lots of different scenery and he looks GREAT in all of the !

I seriously love this horse, so if you can find one, get him! (It didn’t hurt that I got mine on clearance 😉 )

BAM!!! New thing again!

Schleich reviews! I’ll be alternating between Breyer and Schleich reviews. 🙂

First up, my two newest additions, the Fjord stallion and Fell pony mare.

Mold: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is a pretty small Schleich, with scruffy feathers and a long tail with a really pretty braid in it.

Colour: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Personally I prefer loud, fun colours like Appies and paints, and not dark bays with no whites. But this colour is really nice on her, and the mould is pretty detailed so she doesn’t need a super-bold coat.

Photography Potential: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This mare could be in a arena, on a mountainside or in a paddock or pen. She looks really sweet and gentle too!

Next post is on Mr Unnamed Fjord:)
